Chloé After Party | Paris Fashion Week | Fashion | Paris | 2017 |

Creating the set design for the esteemed house’s fashion week after party featuring a performance by Solange Knowles in the Neoclassical La Hôtel de la Monnaie involved an intervention of dazzling artistry. Carefully manipulated reflection of the spectacularly gilded rooms, patterned laser lighting projections and bold colour washes juxtaposed the refined features of the ornate interior whilst utilising the immediacy of the digital age as a creative form of expression.
The stage was fitted with oversized angled mirrors arranged to simultaneously reflect the hotel’s magnificent crystal chandeliers and to resonate with intense sparks as flashes hit their surfaces. Monochromatic light bathed Solange in saturated hues, whilst laser projections added infinite dimensions to the small stage in the form of minimal archways. Branding was considered and playful, with social media opportunities taking the form of a neon Chloé sign guests could photograph and be photographed beside. Within the designated champagne bar overlooking the Seine, an abstracted pattern of light bathed guests in a confetti-like sprinkling of luminescence – a subtle nod to the building’s origins as a coin minting workshop whilst augmenting the brand’s prestige by metaphorically showering guests in silver bullions.
