Reliquia | Reliquia Collective | Retail | Sydney | 2021 |

The Reliquia Collective spirit celebrates and relishes in the pleasure of beautiful, joyful objects. The design concept focussed on conceptualising a Reliquia Collective universe; crafting a bespoke home for the multiple brands that sit within the collective.
Aesthetically the store would match the vibrancy and diversity of the product itself. A twelve-month lease saw the design team adopt a light touch approach to the tenancy’s fixed, base-building elements; instead focussing on components which can be retained and reused in future incarnations of Reliquia Collective. Pattern Studio curated a mix of designer pieces and bespoke retail elements; playfully clashing colours and bringing together highly tactile material palette to create a space which feels considered and highly bespoke. A gently undulating wall of Kvadrat’s Margrethe Odgaard fabric offers an understated backdrop to against which the colourful and patterned Blanca garments shine.
The store’s fitting room is coccooned in swathes of the lilac fabric; the result is a space which feels both calming and luxurious. Playful additions include a sculptural Roger Lecal ‘Lipstick’ mirror produced by Chabrieres & Co c.1970s France as well as an ottoman upholstered in Alexander Girard’s iconic 1965 Checker fabric. Adorning the glossy, tomato-red POS counter is a sculptural light fitting by Sydney-based artist Jordan Fleming. Finished in fluorescent yellow paint the work is striking and joyful; an eye-catching and delightful beacon visible from the street.
