Located on level one of the newly refurbished David Jones Elizabeth Street, the 50 sqm concession is at first recognisable due to liberal use of the brand’s signature pink. However, on closer inspection the compact fitout shows that this brand has indeed evolved into something more discerning. An array of custom-designed metal display units are arranged to allow customers to circulate freely through the concession. A large window with views out across Hyde Park is deliberately unobstructed, with shelving instead integrated into the concession’s fabric-panelled partitions. Minimal detailing and angular, geometric forms offset the prettiness of the blush pink walls and bubblegum-toned carpet; culminating in a highly functional and well-considered, stylised yet sophisticated retail experience.
